![]() ![]() But looking back on it, I really don't think I could ever enjoy a version of Scooby-Doo where the monsters were real. The idea that the monsters were real always occurred at the beginning but our perspectives changed by the end, only to start from square one the next week. The fact that the monsters were never real in the end was just incidental. I guess it worked because, as kids, we never really cared and totally bought into it. It just seems incredibly silly to escalate it to that level. Or maybe I'm the only one that cares that Scooby-Doo is supposed to be a show about them unmasking jerks in costumes and not about actual monsters. Whenever they make a movie, the monster is "real", as if to say, "This time, it's serious.you know, for the movie!", but that's really old at this point.
